LEKHIKA-SANGHA-AWARD
DHAKA, Mar 9, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Lekhika Sangha celebrated its 46th founding anniversary today at Sufia Kamal Auditorium at the National Museum here.
Poet Begum Razia Hosain was honoured with the lifetime honorary award on the occasion of the founding anniversary.
‘Lekhika Sangha Sahittya Award’ was given to the 2016 Ekushey Padak winning poet Habibullah Sirajee, Bangla Academy Literary Award winning poet Ruby Rahman and 2012 Ekushey Padak winning children litterateur Akhtar Hussain.
The ‘Poet Taibun Nahar Rashid gold medal’ was presented to Professor Husne Ara Shahed, while Emily Zaman won the ‘Young Writer Honorary Award’.
Presided over by the president of Bangladesh Lekhika Sangha, Dilara Mesbah, National Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam and novelist Selina Hossain attended the programme as the guests of honour.
