5 snatchers held in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, March 4, 2019 (BSS)-Members of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a special drive arrested a band of five alleged snatchers from city’s Kadomtali area under Sadarghat thana early today.
Mohammad Nezam Uddin, Officer-in-Charge, of Sadarghat thana said the snatchers had been mugging for long in the area targeting the pedestrians particularly passengers of train.
The arrestees were identified as Jashim Uddin, 24, Shah Alam, 23, Arif Hossain, 23, Mohammad Badal, 28, Jashim Uddin alias Lal Jashim, 27.
Based-on secrete information, a team of Sadarghat thana police in a drive arrested them from city’s Kadomtali area under Sadarghat thana at 4 am early today.
The police personnel caught them with looted mobile phones and five lethal weapons red handed.
A case was filed with Sadarghat thana in this regard.
