Fire guts 6 commercial establishments, 3 houses in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, March 4, 2019 (BSS) – At least six commercial establishments
and three dwelling houses were gutted early today in CEPZ area under Bandor
thana in the city.
Jashim Uddin, Assistant Director of Fire Service told BSS that the fire
originated from an electric short circuit at a shop in the area around 3 am
and soon engulfed the adjacent shops and houses.
On information, four units of fire fighters from different fire stations
rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control around 5 am.
Valuables worth over Taka seven lakh were gutted in the fire incident,
Abdul Jobber, owner of a shop claimed.
None was injured in the fire incident, he added.
