RANGPUR, Feb 24, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mashiur Rahman Ranga here today said Bangladesh achieved laudable success in science and information and communication technology (ICT)-based modern education.
“We have to further popularize science-and ICT- based education among the students to further speed up the process of building a developed Bangladesh,” Ranga said at a discussion after inaugurating a two-day Science and ICT Fair- 2018 as the chief guest.
The Gangachara upazila administration organised the fair under patronization of the Science and Technology Welfare Trust on the upazila parisahd premises on the occasion of the 39th National Science and Technology Week- 2018.
The fair is being arranged to inspire the school level students in science- and technology-based modern education for more innovations befitting to the 21st century to attain sustainable national development.
Students of different educational institutions of the upazila have set up different stalls on the fair ground projecting different scientific innovations, research works, information technology and ICT-based digitised technologies.
With Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Syed Enamul Kabir in the chair, upazila vice-chairman Fashiul Alam, President of upazila Jatiya Party Shamsul Alam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Selina Begum addressed the discussion.
The chief guest put importance on adoption of the science-and ICT- based education and technologies in all educational institutions to attain self-sufficiency in all spheres of national life.
