UAE firm initiates process for investment in Bangladesh

DHAKA, March 04, 2019 (BSS)- An UAE business delegation members at a meeting with Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman today said their government allowed a move to extend cooperation to the entrepreneurs intending to do business in Bangladesh.

Leader of the three-member delegation, Waleid Bin Abdulkareim, Chief Executive Officer of OnTime Group, said the company was granted permission by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government to launch a “business hub” for the potential UAE-based investors and entrepreneurs intending to do business in Bangladesh.

He said in coordination with the UAE embassy in Dhaka, the hub will also be an information dissemination point to help the investors and businesspeople.

Besides, the hub would also provide cooperation and guidance to the Bangladeshi businessmen who want to invest or run businesses in the UAE, added Waleid.

The delegation sought the adviser’s help in this regard.

Appreciating the effort of Waleid Bin Abdulkareim, Salman Fazlur Rahman assured the delegation that he would support any initiative that is intended to ease the process of doing business and facilitate investment in Bangladesh.

He hoped the endeavor would motivate UAE businessmen to invest in Bangladesh’s booming economy and encourage others to follow it.
