Two physicians among three dead in Khulna road accident
KHULNA, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS) – Three people, including two physicians, were killed as a private car collided head-on with a passenger bus in front of Bezerdanga Raripara Government Primary School on Khulna-Jashore road under Phultala upazila in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Shahadat Hossain, a retired physician of Phultala Upazila Health Complex, and Moazzem, a retired physician of Khulna Medical College Hospital, and private car driver Jahangir.
Officer-in-Charge of Phultala Police Station Md Monirul Islam told BSS the accident took place around 3.45 pm on Dhaka-Khulna highway when a Jeshore-bound bus of ‘Garai Paribahan’ collided head-on with a Khulna-bound private car, leaving the trio dead on spot.
Police and Fire service recovered the bodies and sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) morgue for postmortem, the OC added.
