999 saves student
DHAKA Feb 24, 2019 (BSS) – The government emergency service ‘999’ today helped rescue a 18-year old student after one-and-a-half hour ordeal. He was trapped in an elevator in Uttara.
The rescued person was identified as Nasir Ullah Momtaz, a student of Biman’s Flight Catering Centre (BFCC)’s 8th batch.
Station Officer of Uttara Fire Service and Civil Defence M Shafiqul Islam confirmed the incident and said that the fire service and civil defence department received a call on its emergency service `999′ from a house at Uttara.
Soon after fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the entrapped person, he said.
The student went to his friend’s house at 40/A, sector 3, road 7 at Uttara and suddenly got trapped in the lift.
