Bangladesh’s Tasdid clinches 2nd in Int’l bodybuilding competition

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2019 (BSS) – Renowned Bangladeshi trainer and body builder Tasdid Hasan clinched second place in prestigious Sheru Classic Pro Qualifiers Series in Bangaluru, India which was held on February 23-24.

“I’m super happy…this is a recognition for the body builders of the country,” Tasdid Hasan told BSS.

Tasdid, who debuted in the bodybuilding arena in 2007, took part in ‘Mr Dhaka-2010’ competition.

He won Independence Day Body Building Championship in 2011, 3rd position in Muscle Mania in 2011, 2nd position in Muscle Mania – 2014 and Mr Bangladesh on 2014, 2015 and 2016.

But the Sheru Classic is his biggest feat yet and Tasdid, known as ‘Viper’ among his fellow trainers, fans and followers, doesn’t want to stop here.

“My next target is to participate in the International Federation of Body Building and Fitness (IFBB), Amateur Olympia and will continue to take part in Mr Bangladesh contest as usual,” he said. This competition also played a huge role in instilling confidence in international athletes who showcased their strength on this platform. Sheru Classic provides a unique platform to aspiring fitness models through the IFBB Pro qualifiers, Tasdid further said.

Seeking proper media coverage on bodybuilding as it is very important to manage sponsor, Tasdid said, ‘It is an expensive sport and without sponsor it is really tough to participate in any competition.”

A total of 17 international competitors took part in this year’s competition.

International Health, Sports and Fitness Festival (IHFF) has been a marquee event, holding the distinct achievement of organizing Asia’s first IFBB Pro-qualifiers Bodybuilding show- Sheru Classic Pro Qualifiers Series in India.

Over the years, the competition has attracted the participation of some of the world’s top professional bodybuilders, renowned strength and conditioning coaches and the world’s best Nutritionists.
