Speaker visits Chawkbazar fire victims at DMCH burn-unit
DHAKA, Feb 24, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today visited the Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit to see fire-injured of devastating Chawkbazar fire incident.
On the occasion, she talked with physicians, patients and their attendants, a press release said.
Talking to reporters after the visit, the speaker said many among the burn-injured patients undergoing treatment at hospital are in critical condition and physicians are making their all-out efforts for providing treatment.
Lawmaker Hazi Selim, Bangladesh Medical Association President Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin and Professor of Dhaka Medical College Dr Samanta Lal Sen were present on the occasion.
On Wednesday night, a devastating fire incident was occurred at Churihatta of Chawkbazar in the old part of the capital claiming 67 lives.
