Maya seeks vote for AL to sustain democracy, development

SHARIATPUR, Feb 20, 2018 (BSS)- Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya today called for voting the Awami League again in the next polls to sustain democracy and development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“People will get jobs, the rural economy will boost up and democracy will be protected, if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is voted again,” he said, speaking at a function at Kuchaipotthi Secondary High School in Goshairhat upazila of the district.

The minister inaugurated the flood shelter center and academic building of the school, said an official release.

Local lawmakers Nahim Razzak and Pankaj Debnath, Department of Disaster Management Director General Md Riaz Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mahmud Hossain Khan, among others, also addressed the inaugural function.

Maya said the court has sentenced BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia and the court will decide whether she (Begum Zia) would be eligible for taking part in the next polls.

He urged all to remain alert against all conspiracies centering the next parliament polls.

Later, the minister inaugurated another shelter centre and academic building of Damudhya Char Naryanpur Madrasha.
