Imran asks to write signboards of airport in Bengali, English

DHAKA, Feb 20, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad, MP, today made a surprise visit at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the morning after returning from Abu Dhabi with the prime minister.

During the visit, Imran asked the authority concerned of the airport to write signboards of the desks in both Bengali and English, said an official press release.

He also asked the relevant authorities to specify in the signboards what services being provided from the desks. He visited the passenger counters, expatriates’ welfare desks, and inspected immigration and spoke with the passengers and the police on duty.

The state minister asked them to set up a separate queue for women and discussed about relocation of the expatriate welfare desk.

He also witnessed the smart card activities given by BMET and directed to make a list the people who receive services every day.

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Raunak Jahan, Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mohammad Mahibul Haque and Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Naim Hasan, were present, among others, during the visit.
