Fire at Suhrawardy hospital
DHAKA, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – A fire broke out at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical
College and Hospital here this afternoon.
“The fire originated at a store room on the first floor of a new building
of the hospital around 6 pm today. Fourteen firefighting units are working to
extinguish the flame,” Fire Service’s Central Control Room Duty Officer Md
Mizanur Rahman told BSS.
But the flame is yet to be come under control as it engulfed the
surrounding areas, he said, adding that the cause of the fire and casualties
could not be ascertained immediately.
