NBR opens green, red channels at HSIA
DHAKA, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – National Board of Revenue (NBR) today opened
full-fledged green and red channels at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport
(HSIA) to ease the services for passengers.
NBR Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan inaugurated the channels at a
ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, he said by introducing the channels Dhaka
customs house moved one step ahead in offering quality and hassle free
services.
Passengers who will carry products without duty could leave the airport
using the green channel by submitting the baggage form, while those exiting
through the red channel will have to pay the required duty.
The NBR Chairman hoped that this initiative would help to reduce time
consumption and passengers queue in the airport.
