One held with 1,440 sedative injections in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Feb 11, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) seized 1,440
pieces of contraband sedative injections and arrested a presumed drug trader
from Khalashpeer Bazar in Pirganj upazila of the district today.
“On a tip off, an operational team of the elite force conducted a sudden
raid there, seized the smuggled Buprenorphine Injections and arrested the
drug trader this afternoon,” a press release of RAB-13 said.
The arrested drug trader is Anarul Islam, 35, son of Moksed Ali of village
Banshpukuria in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur.
“During primary interrogation, the arrested drug trader admitted that they
had been involved in trading of drugs and narcotics substances for long,” the
release added.
The elite force and handed over the arrested drug trader to Pirganj Thana
police after filing a case against him in this connection.
