ICC chairman hopes bright cricketing future of Bangladesh

SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 7, 2019 (BSS)- Chairman of International Cricket Council (ICC) Shashank Manohar today praised advancements of the Bangladesh cricket expecting the country’s bright cricketing future.

“Bangladesh Cricket would be at par with India, Australia and England,” Shashank Manohar said during a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Sangsad Bhaban office here today.

PM’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.

Bangladesh cricket players are playing very well and their consistency is required, the ICC president said.

Shashank Manohar said cooperation between ICC and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would continue in future.

“If the players are imbued with spirit of national pride, they would be able to play with more commitment for the country,” the ICC chairman observed.

The premier focuses on the steps taken by her government so far for the development of games and sports, particularly cricket.

Sheikh Hasina said she loves watching cricket matches and always encourages players and talks to them.

BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papan was present on the occasion.
