Egyptian journalist Aresi’s book on Sheikh Hasina at book fair

DHAKA, Feb 05, 2019 (BSS) – A book on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, written by Egyptian writer, journalist and researcher Mohsen Al Aresi, was published at Amar Ekushey Book Fair recently.

The book titled ‘Sheikh Hasina: Ja Rup Katha Shudu Rup Katha Noy’ was originally written in Arabic, while Bangla Academy published the translated version in Bangla. The book is 296 pages long.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally unveiled the Bengali version of Mohsen Al Aresi’s book ‘Hasina Haqaiq Asati’ at the inaugural session of the book fair on February 1.

Bangla Academy director, Dr Jalal Ahmed, said the book was originally written in Arabic by Mohsen Al Aresi and it was translated into Bangla, which was being published at the book fair.

In the preface, Aresi said this was his first book of its kind in Arabic.

About the book, Bangla Academy director general, Habibullah Siraji, said the history of Bangladesh’s political and socio-economic development after its independence. It also focuses on the role of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter, incumbent Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Bangla version of the book is available at five stalls of the book fair.
