Hong Kong stocks rebound in opening trade
HONG KONG, Jan 26, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong shares bounced back in the
first few minutes of trade Friday after suffering sharp losses the day
before, with investors tracking fresh records on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.62 percent, or 202.72 points, to 32,857.17.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gave up 0.36 percent, or 12.82
points, to 3,535.49 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, lost 0.29 percent, or 5.71 points, to 1,947.59.
