97pc people optimistic of new govt’s success: survey

DHAKA, Jan 29, 2019 (BSS)- Around 97 percent people are optimistic about
the success of the new government in taking ahead the country towards its
cherished goals, said a survey of CallReady, an institution on research and
communication strategy development.

Noted researcher Australian expatriate Dr Abul Hasnat Milton presented the
results of the survey on ’11th parliamentary election’ at a press conference
at the Jatiya Press Club here today.

Some 2112 mobile phone users were contacted over the phone on random basis
for taking part in the survey. Some 1476 people were respondents.

Of the respondents, 79.54 percent people cast their votes in the December
30 national election. A total of 1047 people among those who participated in
the election said they voted for their preferred candidates, the survey
revealed.

Around 68.42 percent voters think that the election is completely
acceptable while 24.8 percent voters consider it as moderately acceptable.
About 97.94 percent voters are optimistic about the success of the newly
elected government.

Researcher and faculty member of Bangladesh University of Professionals
(BUP) Kazi Ahmed Parvez, CallReady Chief Operating Officer Azad Abul Kalam,
CallReady Research Coordinator Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain were present in the
press conference.
