4th reunion of DUBAA held at DU
DHAKA, Jan 25, 2019 (BSS) – The fourth reunion and annual general meeting
of Dhaka University Botany Alumni Association (DUBAA) was held today on
Curzon Hall premises.
Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman
inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, a DU press release said here.
President of DUBAA Prof Dr Quazi Abdul Fattah presided over the function
while DUAA President AK Azad and Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences
Prof Dr M Imdadul Hoque addressed it as special guests, the release added.
Chairman of the Department of Botany of DU Prof Dr Rakha Hari Sarker
delivered welcome address while General Secretary of DUBAA Prof Dr Md Abul
Bashar gave vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, DU VC called upon the alumni to play an effective role in
promoting academic career of current students of the university.
He recalled the outstanding contributions of DU alumni to socio-economic
development in the country.
Akhtaruzzaman hoped that the social activities of DU alumni would be
continued in the days to come.
