Photograph worth a thousand words: Khalid
DHAKA, Jan 18, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud
Chowdhury today said a photograph is worth a thousand words and it is one of
the languages to maintain contact.
“A photograph can easily express emotion, feelings and reaction. We can
utilize youth’s creativity and energy through photography,” he said.
Khalid came up with the observations while addressing a discussion held on
the sideline of a photography exhibition organised at Zainul Art Gallery of
Charukola Institute here.
Presided over by former Director General of Press Institute of Bangladesh
(PIB) Prof Dr Sheikh Abdus Salam, the discussion was also addressed, among
others, by former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin
Siddique, lawmaker Pankaj Debnath, Prof Nesar Hossain, Prime Minister’s
Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan, photo journalist Ahmed Pipul and
photographer Tanvir Tipu.
The three-day exhibition started on January 17 and will end on January 19.
