MYMENSINGH, Jan 15 (BSS) – A mass reception was accorded to the newly
appointed State Minister for Social Welfare Sharif Ahamed at Tareque Smriti
Auditorium in Mymensingh this evening.
Mymensingh district unit of Awami league organised the reception
ceremony with district AL president advocate Jahirul Haque in the chair.
The reception was addressed, among others, by newly elected lawmakers
Nazim uddin Ahamed, Hafez Ruhul Amin Madanee and Anwarul Abedin Tuhin,
chairman of Zila Parisad Yusuf Khan Pathan, administrator of Mymensingh
Pourashsva Ekramul Haque Teto, district AL secretary Muazzem Hossain and
president of AL city unit Ehtashemul Alam.
AL and its front organisations – Jubo league, Sramic league, Krisak
league and BCL district and city units – and hundreds of different socio-
cultural organisations gave reception to the state minister by handing over
bouquets.
Newly appointed State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid will come
to Mymensingh tomorrow on a three day visit.
