Tobacco sale centres fined in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Jan 10, 2019 (BSS) – A mobile court fined two tobacco product
sale centres Taka 2,000 for violating the amended Smoking and Tobacco
Products Usage (Control) Act here this afternoon.
Led by Executive Magistrate Abdul Mannan of Rangpur City Corporation
(RpCC), the mobile court conducted drives and fined the smoking and non-
smoking tobacco product sale centres located in Rail Station area in the
city.
Sanitary Inspector of RpCC Shoyaeb Hossain, mobile court official Mehedi
Hassan and Programme Officer of Association for Community Development (ACD)
Taufiqul Islam, were present, among others, during the drives.
The mobile court fined owners of the tobacco sales centre Wasim and Asif
Taka 1,000 for violating rules and regulations.
