JU to observe founding anniversary on Jan 12
SAVAR, Jan 9, 2019 (BSS) – The authority of Jahangirnagar
University (JU) will observe its 48th founding anniversary on
January 12 amid festive mood.
To mark the day, JU authority has taken up elaborate
programmes on the campus.
JU Public Relations Office informed BSS today.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam will inaugurate
the day-events in the morning.
A rally led by JU VC will be brought out from the Business
Studies faculty premises that will end at the Selim Al Deen
Muktamancha after parading different streets on the campus
following a discussion session there.
Teachers, students, officials and staffs of the university
will attend the function.
To mark the day, Teacher- Student Center (TSC) and Student
Welfare and Counseling Center will jointly organize a
cultural function at the Selim Al Deen Muktamancha in the
afternoon.
The day’s events including flock song presentation to be
performed by Eminent Folk Singer Momtaz Begum.
