DHAKA, Jan 2, 2018 (BSS) – Their remembrances and reminiscences resulted in an august meeting between the Prime Minister and an educationist prompting them to trace back to their olden fond memories of the student life.

The two with their different political ideologies were front-ranking student leaders at the college life with general students electing them as Vice-president and General Secretary of Eden Mohila College Student Union.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was the elected vice-president of Eden Mohila College Student Union from Chhatra League while Professor Nazma Shams was its elected general secretary from Chhatra Union.

Professor Nazma Shams who is now leading Bangladesh Scout Girls in Scouting Forum National Committee as its president came to the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganabhaban today to greet Sheikh Hasina on her party’s landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary election.

Prof Nazma was overwhelmed with joy to see Sheikh Hasina, who is set to become the Prime Minister for the fourth time with a hat-trick victory on December 30 polls.

As they stood face-to-face in gracious presence of many guests there the two former student leaders could not resist the temptation of hugging each other to the delight of everybody.

For a few moments they looked back to their memories of younger days when they despite possessing distinct political ethos together staged many demonstrations protesting against the misrule of Pakistani rulers.

They recalled how they along with other student leaders and workers built movements contributing much to the Bengali nation’s anti-Pakistani struggle.
