4.256 kg gold seized at Ctg airport
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 16, 2018 (BSS) – The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) officials detained a Biman passenger with a piece of gold weighing 4.256 kg from a flight at Shah Amanat International Airport here this morning.
The detainee was Mohammad Shaokat Akbar, hailed from Fatckchari upazila of the district.
Shaokat reached the airport on a Bangladesh Biman flight BG-148m from Dubai at 10 am, Assistant Commissioner of Airport Customs Mahbubur Rahman told BSS.
Later, on secrete information, the CIID officials recovered a big size gold bar from his bag.
A case was filed with concerned police.
