Woman hacked to death in Barguna
BARGUNA, Dec 30, 2017 (BSS) – A woman was hacked to death over selling labour in Betagi Upazila of the district today.
The victim was identified as Majeda Begum, 50, a resident at Dakhin Fulotala village of the Upazila. She was a day laborer. Eman Ali is her husband.
Local people said the incident occurred at the village morning. A Shahadat, an inhabitant at Goriabunia village, came at Majeda’s house and hacked her with a sharp weapon as she did not go to his work. Majeda was admitted to Betagi Govt Hospital and later referred to Barisal as her condition deteriorated. Unfortunately she died on the way.
Betagi police held Shahadat who is a drug addicted youth. A case was filed.
