CUJ biennial conference, election on Jan 30 & 31
CHITTAGONG, Dec 28, 2017 (BSS)-The biennial conference and the election
of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) will be held respectively on January
30 and 31 in 2018.
The announcement came from an executive meeting of CUJ held with its
acting president Ratan Kanti Devasish in the chair.
At the onset of its proceedings, the meeting observed one minute silence
to pay homage to late mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) and
president of Chittagong City Awami League ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
CUJ general secretary Mohammad Ali, its treasurer Uzzal Kanti Dhar,
organising secretary Subur Shuvo, representative unite chief Samir Kanti
Barua, Dainik Azadi unit chief Hasan Akbar, vice president of Bangladesh
Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahidul Alam, BFUJ joint secretary
general Tapan Chakroborti and its executive member Ashif Siraj were, among
others, present at the meeting.
