Two fires damage factory, vegetable market in city
DHAKA, Nov 21, 2018 (BSS) – Two separate incidents of fire took place today
in a factory and a vegetable market in city’s Mirpur and Kawran Bazar area
respectively.
In the first incident, a fire broke out in a godown of a factory at
Golartak area under Darus Salam Police Station in Mirpur area around 10.15
this morning, station manager Anwar Hossain of Mirpur Fire Service Station
told BSS.
Being informed, four fire fighting engines rushed to the place of
occurrence and doused the flame after half an hour of frantic efforts. In the
second incident, a fire took place at a vegetable market at Kawran Bazar
around 4am today.
The fire was brought under control after one and a half hour of frantic
efforts of nine fire fighting vehicles.
