1st day of PEC exam passes off peacefully in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS) – The first day of the Primary Education
Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee examinations-2018 under Chattogram district
primary education ended peacefully today.

On the first day, a total of 4,553 students of PEC were absent in the
English examination in different centres of the districts while 2111 students
were absent in Ebtedayee examinations.

District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) Nasrin Sultana, who visited
different examinations centers in the city including Dr Khastogir Gilrls High
school and Bangladesh Mohila Samity girls’ school and college, said the
overall examinations were held peacefully.

“No untoward incident was reported from 346 centres of the district,” the
DPEO told BSS.

A total of one lakh 45 thousand and 629 students including 78 thousand
560 female students appeared in this year’s examination.

Besides, a total of 23,861 students including 13,925 male students of
different madrasa educational institutes participated in the examinations.

Adequate number of vigilance teams, consisting officials of DPEO, were
vigilant in different centers to hold examinations in free fair and peaceful
manner.
