Badruddoza Chowdhury mourns death of journalist Shahriar Shahid
DHAKA, Nov 18, 2018 (BSS) – Juktafront Chairman and Bikalpadhara President Professor AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury today expressed profound shock at the immature death of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Editor Shahriar Shahid.
In a condolence message, Chowdhury, a former president of the country, recalled the contributions of Shahriar Shahid in the field of journalism and said the nation will remember him forever with gratitude.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Shahriar Shahid, son of the former editor of English daily Bangladesh Times (now defunct) late AKM Shahidul Haque, died of a heart attack at Apollo Hospital in the capital on Saturday at the age of 55.
He is survived by wife and a son.
