ANSAR VDP-TRAINING
Training of VDP members ends in Gaibandha
GAIBANDHA, NOV 17, 2018 (BSS) – A 10-day village based basic training for the members of Village Defense Party (VDP) ended at Uttar Kholahati Bholar Bazaar Ansar and VDP club under Kholahati union of Sadar upazila here today.
Sadar upazila Ansar and VDP office arranged the training for the youth to make them trained on different issues including law and order situation.
District commandant of Ansar and VDP Aftekharul Islam addressed the concluding ceremony at the club on Saturday noon with Sadar upazila Ansar and VDP officer Moynul Haque in the chair.
The function was also addressed, among others, by upazila trainers of Ansar and VDP M Qudarat e Khuda and Hasina Khatun and union VDP leader Firoz Kabir.
The speakers urged the trainees to use the knowledge acquired from the training in their practical life to change their lots economically through engaging in income generating activities side by side with building a crime free society.
Later, the guests distributed certificates and allowance to the participants.
Earlier, the participants were imparted trainings on law and order, primary healthcare, family planning, fish culture, poultry farming and goat rearing, sanitation, income generating activities, election duties, poverty alleviation and checking early marriage, drug taking, militancy and eve teasing.
A total of 64 members, among whom, 32 male and 32 female took part in training.
