Nobanna Utsab celebrated in Narsingdi
Narsingdi, Nov-15 (BSS) – Nabanna Utsob, a festival of harvesting new
crops celebrated on the first day of Bangla month Agrahayan, began here
today.
On the occasion, district administration and Shilpakala Academy arranged
programmes on Narsingdi Moslehuddin Bhuiyan Stadium premises that wore a
festive look with the presence of people from all strata of life.
A number of government and non-government officials, journalists, teachers
and students gathered there for celebrating and enjoying the festival.
Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Seyda Farhana Kawnine inaugurated the
Nabanna Utashab as the chief guest with much enthusiasm.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abdul Awal, ADC (Revunue) Saiful
Islam and Cultural Officer Shahela Khatun were present on the occasion.
A total of 25 stalls with the arrangement of government and non-government
organisations were set up on the festival compound.
Cultural function featuring Bangla flock song and dance was held marking
the day.
