Police asked to exercise maximum vigil

RANGPUR, Nov 15, 2018 (BSS)-Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Bangladesh
Police for Rangpur Range Devdas Bhattacharya has instructed the law enforcers
to exercise maximum vigil while performing responsibility to keep the law and
order normal.

The DIG passed the directives on Wednesday while presiding over the monthly
crime, law and order assessment conference for October-2018 in the city.

Additional DIGs, superintendents of police (SP) from Rangpur, Panchagarh,
Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Dinajpur and Gaibandha
districts under Rangpur range and high officials of the police force attended
the conference.

After the meeting, the DIG distributed medals among police personnel and
organisations for their laudable performances in handling crimes and
maintaining law and order.

Nilphamari SP Muhammad Asharf Hossain received a crest as the best district
police award from the DIG for October-2018 on behalf of Nilphamari district
police for maintaining excellent law and order.

Besides, Panchagarh Sadar circle of police, Lalmonirhat unit of Traffic
Police and Gobindaganj Thana Police were awarded as organisations for their
best performances.

The other awarded police personnel are- Sub-inspector (SI) Rezaul Karim, SI
Osman Gani, SI Shahadat Hossain, ASI Shawkat Alam Siddique and Constable
Mamtaz Uddin.
