International Conference on ‘Challenges of teaching English’ starts
tomorrow

DHAKA, Nov 14, 2018 (BSS) – A two-day international conference titled
“Rethinking Disciplinary Diversity: Challenges of Teaching English in the
21st Century” will be held from November 15 to 16 at BRAC University.

The Department of English and Humanities organised the event, said a press
release.

The conference will have keynote speeches by Professor Janinka Greenwood,
University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and Dr. Obaidul Hamid, The University
of Queensland, Australia.

Harunur Rashid Khan, President, BELTA, will grace the occasion as special
guest and Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam, University of Liberal Arts
Bangladesh, will share his insights as Special Speaker.

There will be exciting sessions on material development in ELT and
translation practices in different languages.
