Sheikh Hasina’s doors for dialogue always remain open: Nasim

DHAKA, Oct 31, 2018 (BSS)- Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim today said the doors of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for dialogue always remained open and it would continue in future also.

“The next parliamentary elections will be held as per the constitution. There is no scope to go beyond the constitution. But the dialogue will he held as the doors of our prime minister always remain open for discussion,” he said, speaking at a meeting at T and T Colony ground in city’s Motijheel.

Central 14-party alliance organized the meeting to protest against the conspiracies and lies being orchestrated by BNP-Jamaat alliance with Social Welfare Minister and Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon in the chair.

Urging Dr Kamal Hossain not to go beyond the constitution, Nasim said, “Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited you for a dialogue. The dialogue will be held. But don’t go beyond the constitution.”

Nasim, also the health and family welfare minister, said they (BNP) will hold rallies and meetings ahead of the polls and no one has objection in this regard. But, the countrymen will give a befitting reply if anyone tries to create anarchy to foil the polls in the name of rallies.

He said, “December is the month of victory. We will set up ‘Bijoy Mancha’ (stage of victory) at every district across the country and celebrate our victory from those stages after winning the upcoming elections.”

Rashed Khan Menon said BNP-Jamaat hired Dr Kamal Hossain and Mahmudur Rahman Manna after failing to wage any movement against the government. But, the polls will be held as per the constitution, he added.

Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Bangladesh Tarikat Federation Chairman Najibul Bashor Maijbhandari, Ganatanthri Party President Dr Shahdat Hossain, AL, South City unit President Abul Hasnat and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (partial) General Secretary Nazmul Haque Prodhan, among others, were present in the meeting. AL, South City unit, General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad conducted it.
