Saudi Arabia lauds PM’s contribution to establish 560 model mosques
DHAKA, Oct 28, 2018 (BSS) – Saudi government’s finance adviser Fahad AL-Othaibi today praised the Bangladesh government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for promoting Islamic activities, specially establishing 560 model mosques throughout the country.
Fahad, who is leading the four-member Royal Saudi delegation, came up with the remark while speaking at a view-exchange meeting on “Real Religious Education and Invitation” in a city hotel.
“The steps taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in establishing 560 model mosques is really appraisable . . . her projects to promote Islam is helping establish peace Bangladesh and elsewhere across the world,” he mentioned.
He urged all Islamic scholars (Alem-Ulema) to preach Islamic ideals with modesty, wisdom and spirit to establish world peace.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry Bazlul Haque Harun, expressed his gratitude to the Saudia government for showing due respect to Bangladesh Prime Minister, saying “The continuation of Sheikh Hasina’s government is a must to expedite the further development of Bangladesh.”
Referring to recent visit of Bangladesh Premier to Sauid Arabia, he said the recent visit would strengthen the bilateral ties between the two Muslims countries.
Director General (DG) of Islamic Foundation Shamim Mohammad Afzal presided over the meeting.
